To begin the creative process, we ask that you email or call us to schedule an appointment.
Save the Date appointments are typically an hour while invitation and day of paper appointments are closer to two hours. For all appointments, you should expect to receive an education on printing methods (we offer digital, thermography, letterpress, and engraving) and paper types and options. If you aren’t sure whether you are a traditional or custom client, we can discuss that with you when you email or call us.
You love paper, but you want to get this part of the process done efficiently. Questions to ask if you want to go with our vendor collection:
If you are a traditional client, we’ll discuss your budget at the beginning of the appointment, so that we show you options from vendors that would work within your parameters. You’ll have a chance to review many different samples and ideas. 90% of our traditional clients buy their invitations during their first appointment and will make decisions such as paper type, thickness color, fonts, font color, envelope type and color before leaving.

Depending on which vendor you select, you’ll have three or four rounds of complimentary proofs to make changes on anything from fonts and colors to page orientation and designs. When the invitation finally looks perfect, you’ll approve the proof and we’ll give the vendor permission to begin the printing process.
We typically receive invitations in our showroom three to four weeks after printing approval. During that time, we will send you our guest addressing template to fill in with your guest names and addresses (if you would like your envelopes digitally addressed) and we can begin the addressing the minute we receive your creation. We also have a calligrapher that can address your envelopes.
You are hoping to use bits and pieces from various designs, plus perhaps some other creative ideas you’ve been mulling in your head.
For the custom bride, we’ll discuss your budget prior to your appointment to ensure that we work together to stay within it.
At your first appointment, we’ll spend two hours discussing any inspiration that you have brought with you as well as themes, colors, and paper preferences. We can show you samples of previous work we have done as well as paper and envelope swatches to begin making decisions. Depending on the type of customization, we can either provide a quote during the appointment or we will need to speak with several of our printers to develop your custom quote and will generally have that available within 3-4 business days.
