The Dandelion Patch is a JamPacks Drop Off Location
The Dandelion Patch is pleased to be a receiving site
for the Junior League of Northern Virginia's JamPacks
Program.
Now in its 15th year, JamPacks helps hundreds of
disadvantaged children in our area by providing
backpacks loaded with needed school supplies so kids
are ready for academic success.
Our customers are invited to bring in school supplies
of all kinds to The Dandelion Patch this month and
deposit them in the labeled JamPacks box in the
store. We'll make sure they get to the right place for
distribution!
This simple act can mean so much to so many. Thank
you for giving to our community!

Celebrate Our Independence!

Looking for something beyond the typical July 4th
party & BBQ? While we may be enjoying summer's
heat with cool lemonade and burgers on the grill, let
us not forget the service men and women who are
making America proud as they stand in harm's way.
We at the Dandelion Patch have an idea to make
your Independence Day celebration one for your
family and friends to remember for years to come.
Consider asking guests to bring something to send to
our service men and women abroad. We invite you to
participate in the Any Soldier program.
AnySoldier.com is the brainchild of a local Army
Infantry Soldier with the 173rd Airborne Brigade
stationed in Iraq. Sgt. Brian Horn started the idea of
Any Soldier to help care for his soldiers. He agreed to
distribute packages that came to him with "Attn: Any
Soldier" in the address to the soldiers who were not
getting mail. Due to overwhelming requests, the Any
Soldier effort was expanded to include any member
of any of the Armed Services in harm's way.
Visit the AnySoldier.com site to see what our service
men and women need while stationed abroad, and
encourage your guests to bring these items to your
celebration. At the party, you can provide patriotic
stationery found at The Dandelion Patch for your
guests to write encouraging words for the soldiers
abroad. You pack and ship the items to your selected
recipient and know you've brought joy and the
comfort of home to a soldier stationed far away.
Oh, and don't forget to raise a toast to those who
proudly serve our nation!

Personal Service, with Style

Recently, we were told by Cindy Hazel, the mother of
one of our Dandelion Patch June brides, that it was
the little details that helped her choose us as the
stationer for her daugher Suzanne's wedding. "They
knew just how to set the tone and style for the
event, " said Cindy. Our personal service was a
standout, she said, and it made all the difference.
Wow. We're humbled by such kind praise.
Tone. Style. Personal. Standout. We couldn't help
but notice the qualities that appealed to Cindy are
the same things that appeal to us in the
gift items we're carrying this season. This elegant
plate from Tassie's Plates can set the tone for your
event, bring style to your table, and can be
customized to serve your style with a simple ribbon.
We love it, and we know you will too.
While the personal service and expertise are critical
for our brides-to-be, the committment to quality,
service and style carries into everything we offer The
Dandelion Patch customer.
Thank you, Cindy, for noticing. We're proud to be a
part of your family's celebration.
